Hey everybody, Quixotic Joy here!
It is Saturday, September 27th at about 12:30 and I just did my Yoga with Adriene out on my deck that my husband built for me. And this was the view that I had. And I was watching clouds go by while I did yoga and I thought it was so amazing. I wanted to share it with you. And the deck is on my front porch. And so we are going to hear cars driving by. And chickens in the background. And airplanes flying by. And squirrels chirping in the tree.
Or maybe not.
We’ll see.
But I was thinking while I was doing yoga about...I got all pumped up, hyped up, by listening to The Daily Beans and John Fugelsang and I’ve been talking in my dispatches about October 18th and how we’re all going to get out into the streets and we’re all talking about it openly and we’re all going to show up unarmed and peaceful and talking about human rights and important things that every human deserves to be themselves and to be loved and to have health care and to get a good education and to not be snatched up off the street especially for speaking out against the haters in the world and I worry about what I see in the news about troops being positioned in big cities right now and I believe or I should say I fear that it’s all in preparation for the day that we all go out into the streets and say enough is enough.
This has to stop.
Congress isn’t stopping this madness.
Supreme Court isn’t stopping this madness.
Corporations aren’t stopping this madness.
But we, the people, could stand up and say, stop the madness.
And I’m hopeful that that will happen on October 18th.
And so then I was thinking about how...
Well, just to say, I think that millions of people are going to come out on October 18th and then I was thinking about how people were organizing for January 6th in the same way of like talking to their friends on social media but the fact that they were like doing it in back channels and preparing each other for, “be ready for violence, bring your weapons that are allowed or even not allowed.” Which some people did. And thousands of people did show up on January 6th. And they also had the President of the United States telling them about this big event and that he was going to support them. And thousands of people showed up in this one spot. And from what I understand, there weren’t a lot of counter protesters, if any. [but I guess I haven’t researched that very much.] But there were a lot of people standing up saying, “This isn’t right.Our election was stolen!” and arguing for this monster to stay in office. That was their argument. That was their case. That was their story. That’s why they were coming, because they wanted this monster to stay in office and they lost. They legitimately lost and it legitimately wasn’t by a ton of office and they lost. They legitimately lost and it legitimately wasn’t by a ton of votes.
So it wasn’t like…. it was.... the way elections work and they were just sad and upset and angry and riled up by the guy who lost and so they were using all these back channels to talk to each other and communicate and show up armed and violent and they did and that’s what happened and then they did all these horrible things that I don’t think any of us will do on October 18th.
We’re all just trying to survive and get by and love our neighbor and be good human beings.
And we’re all going to show up unarmed and peaceful.
And we’re going to talk about it for the next few weeks, encouraging everyone to get out in the streets.
Unarmed and peaceful and fighting for the rights of our fellow humans.
And the government’s going to be there waiting for us.
Batons and tear gas and masks and shields and ready to attack us for speaking out and saying enough is enough.
That’s what I fear is going to happen.
And I hope I’m wrong.
But that’s what I’m worried about at this point.
So anyway, I was doing yoga and I had this brilliant idea and I thought, what if We are mobilized in a way that is so dispersed across the country. I mean, it’s all obviously going to be in over 2000 locations because that’s what we’ve done already this year is organized in all these different cities and towns.
And it’s been brilliant.
And it’s been millions of people.
And we’ve proven to be peaceful, even though Elon Musk was making a case that we weren’t, or we weren’t going to be, whatever, loser.
Um, I just, sorry, I got distracted by these beautiful clouds floating by.
I gotta remember to breathe.
I was just thinking how cool it would be if we were so dispersed and stayed away from the areas where the government has their troops positioned, our government, paid for by our tax dollars, by the way, wherever they’re positioned, we don’t protest there.
We just protest everywhere else, on the overpasses, in our neighborhoods... I don’t know, everywhere but where they are... where they’re going to try to beat us down and shut us up and I was also wondering about the fact that Kegseth is pulling together all these military people in the next week, And I wouldn’t be surprised if he’s organizing the military to do...
Oh! That’s the alarm! That my kiddo needs to go do her driver’s ed.

And she’s all set up to do her driver’s ed. I’m so proud of her.
Okay, anyway, um, where was I?
The clouds are not really... It’s kind of blue sky. Well, no, they’re there.
I don’t know, I just... And then, is it gonna do anything? Because what I think is that they want to round us up. And he’s already said that Indivisible is on the list of terrorist organizations. I think the government said that the other, well, the administration…the REGIME said that the other day, along with Antifa.
And my question is, shouldn’t we all be anti-fascist? I understand that there is, I guess, some group out there that calls themselves Antifa. And if they’re being violent, I don’t support that. But I do support the fact that they’re anti-fascist.
Because I’m anti-fascist.
Shouldn’t we all be anti-fascist?
Why isn’t anyone talking about that? Anyway, they’re labeling Antifa and the Ford Foundation and the Soros Foundation and Indivisible as terrorist groups. And by doing that, they’re going to say, we can round these people up and we can...take them off the streets and we can lock them up and shut them up and they just brought back all these GSA workers who are in charge of taking care of government buildings and so are they trying to figure out how they can utilize all these government properties as housing spaces across the country for all of us, we’re going to stand up and say enough is enough.
Now I sound like a conspiracy theorist! And I hope I’m wrong.
Okay driver’s ed has started on zoom inside the house and so we might hear that in the background but i just wanted to wrap it up and say number one i really enjoy looking at these clouds but i think i’m going to go back to documenting some flowers in the next dispatch.
And I just want to say that I’m so grateful for all the people who are standing up and speaking out and doing good work:
John Ossoff, Alison Gill, John Fugelsang, Beto, Gavin, Jasmine, Pete, Kamala, Obama, and Michelle.
I gotta remember that there are people who are speaking out and doing good work at the top. I just hope it’ll make a difference because it’s all crumbling so fast and I just worry about my kids and what they’re gonna have left.
They’ve destroyed so much in, what, eight months? And have created so much fear and I just feel so bad for our kids.
Oh, deep breaths.
